What is RDAP?
RDAP is the structured protocol registries use to publish domain registration data. OnlyWhois uses an authoritative RDAP service when one is available.
When is WHOIS used?
WHOIS is a bounded fallback when a registry does not provide a usable RDAP response and a public WHOIS service can be discovered.
Why are some details missing?
Registries and registrars may omit or redact fields under privacy rules and provider policy. OnlyWhois displays only the data the source returns.
Which domain extensions are supported?
Delegated gTLDs, ccTLDs and internationalized domains can be queried when their registry publishes a usable RDAP or WHOIS service.
Does a not-found result guarantee availability?
No. A not-found response is a strong registry signal, but registration eligibility and timing should be confirmed with an accredited registrar.
